I guess the positive in all of this is there should be no misconception in the FO about the fact that this team has several immediate needs if it wants to play in October.

I gave up on him two years ago. Time go cut bait. He's done in my opinion.

I'm putting the odds of Arredondo walking in a run at 2-1.

    sounds about right

That was obvious last July as well, perhaps moreso.

    I'm not holding my breath.

True, but the two at the top of the order are all on Dusty.

This is definitely a talented team but as the season moves along I find myself putting more and more of the blame on Walt. Dusty is a moron when it comes to constructing a lineup but the roster just simply has too many offensive holes.

He was at the game Monday. Wonder if he's stuck around to see his handywork. I assume he was there to talk about some possible call-ups from Bakersfield (to AA).

This past offseason made me believe Walt is in fact awake. Last deadline, offseason I would have swore he wasn't.

I don't think Walt has messed up the roster. There's a couple of holes, but they can be fixed pretty easily.

He was actually pretty good last year. Look at his numbers.

I would agree. We are absolutely terrible in the 8th inning on over the past three weeks. Even with an above average pen. As the dog days are approaching, I don't believe this is a cooincidence.

Absolutely no ability to go righty/lefty matchups with this completely piss-poor, redundant roster construction. Throwing seven righties against Volgelsong on Suonday with no other roster choices, etc. etc.

He needs to fix it though. Dropping lots of games that should be wins. 80 games in and still not even a half way decent bench.
