You may be right, but Bray is an extra lefty arm in the bullpen. I wouldn't have used him tonight, too close a game, but that's on Baker.

Really, it's hard to worry about the last man in the bullpen. The team has an ERA below 3.5, when was the last time you could say that?

Ten runs in four games scored by the offense in SF. Then one good one in LA. Then one run last night. Now one tonight in the eighth.

The offensive issues were clear in mid-April, they remain, and that needs to be the area of concern for the front office. Billy Bray? Whatever, not a big issue.

At least 6-8 games dropped that should have been wins. That is being conservative

And a game out of first. If he doesn't get help by the 31st, I'll agree with you.

It's nights like these that I'm glad I have so many personal accomplishments to hang my hat on so the Reds losing doesn't get me too down.

Oh wait, no I don't. I'm sad now.

That is why I'm so frustrated right now though. This team should be 5 games up in this division and they just can't sustain anything on offense. The first two weeks of the season it was clear the offense and bench were problematic. The pitching has been great, I really don't want to waste it for another 3 weeks.

It also must be mentioned that we're losing to the Dodgers with their only two legit hitters on the shelf in Kemp and Either. Also, we didn't get shut down by Clayton Kershaw tonight. We got shut down by Aaron Harang. Embarrassing all around.

Down two in the 8th and he goes to Bray? Yeah, that's poor.

Its not like Walt can just call up a random team and say "we want him and we'll give you him" Im sure hes been on the phone just as much as any other GM has. It takes 2 teams to make a trade. Ive kept faith because we were supposed to be "all in" in 2012. If they werent lying to the fans then a move will be made.
