Votto can't come through EVERY time, a deep flyout to center. Reds refuse the Dodgers willingness to let them back in the game.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

3-0 after 3. Nothing terribly exciting.

You know i really must have something to do besides this.......and reading the Enquirer boards, which you cannot post unless you are on Facebook...... in order to spar with the idiots who defend Dusty logic.

I guess after the Reds got 8 runs in the first game, we should have known they were near their runs quota for the series.

They got 10 altogether in the four game Giants series.

Last night, they got one in support of Cueto.

Tonight, we'll see. But it may just be another "tip of the hat" game.

After all, Harang is pitching, can't really expect too much offense.

I'm told it's the ebbs and flows of a baseball season. Or something.

Not sure if that's a shot at me for using that phrase last night in reference to Belisario, but no, the Reds should be hitting Harang and anything less is a disappointment.

Putrid comes to mind. I'm sure others will come. At least they should try swinging at pitches in the middle of the zone early instead of in or up.

    Too much ebb....not enough flow.

Maybe the recap of this season will be called "The 2012 Reds...Tipping their caps on a semi-daily basis"

    7 pitch inning for Leake.

I didn't even remember you said it, so it wasn't directed at you.

It was a reference to all these medium pitchers who shut down the Reds this year. Lots of tipping of caps to these guys.

Right now, I'm on Drew Stubbs watch. I'm focused on seeing if Drew can get a hit before the All Star break. It's much more interesting than these ball games.

7 pitch fourth inning for Leake. He's mowing them down and hoping his offense will bring him back into the ballgame.

    We've gone from a 21-0 pace to a 6.75-0 pace, so it's getting better.

That "0" still seems to be staying the same, but certainly improves the run diff

Kelch saying that Harang has been very good tonight even though he hasn't won a game since June 7.

I guess it's a tip of the cap.
