Bats surrender 6-1 on Independence Day. Kris Negron had the only two Bats safeties, a triple and a single. He was picked off after the single. The pitching was pretty nondescript aside from a strike-out-the-side inning from Travis Webb. Hope the fireworks are nice.

Mathematician needed here. The Bats have followed up their nine-game winning streak with eight consecutive losses. What are the odds?

Everyone in Dayton, seemingly, has multiple hits today. And they take on an insurance run in the fifth. 15 runs and 19 hits. Joe Terry, Yorman Rodriguez and Yovan Gonzalez three hits apiece. Juan Perez, Ryan Wright, Kyle Waldrop and Jefry Sierra each have two.

Josef Terry didn't start the game tonight for Dayton, but went 4-5. Waldrop also had four hits. Yorman, Yovan and Sierra had three. The final was 17-4.

Maddox didn't get a crack at a fourth HR, and Billings fell short 8-7.

Does anyone know what happened to Junior Arias tonight? He left the game after his first AB

He entered as a pinch runner for Junior Arias in the first inning after Arias appeared to aggravate a strained groin.
