John Sickels posted some Futures Game Previews today. The Reds are sending Billy Hamilton and Kyle Lotzkar as their representatives. Here are some quick notes on each guy:

Billy Hamilton
Selected in the second round in 2009 from high school in Taylorsville, Mississippi, Hamilton is so fast it isn't fair. He's stolen 100 bases in 79 games this year in High-A, hitting .323/.413/.441 overall with 48 walks in 322 at-bats. His defense remains questionable and he may end up in the outfield, plus scouts want to see him hit outside the California League. Nevertheless, his speed and athleticism are remarkable.

Kyle Lotzkar
The Reds drafted Lotzkar in the supplemental first round in 2007 from Delta, British Columbia, Canada. His career has been slowed by injuries but he is still just 22 years old. At his best he has a low 90s fastball with a nasty curveball. He has a 4.72 ERA in Double-A this year, but with a 68/29 K/BB ratio in 55 innings.
