Really need to get deep in the San Diego pen tonight.
This is the ol Left Hander rounding third and heading for home.

Reds may solve their OBP problem in this game alone.

They'll lose 9-1 or something, but they will get some OBP.

The thing is, Hanigan always goes through these stretches. His worst one, as I recall, was when Razor Ramon was injured in 2010 and he was playing about everyday. Hanigan is a really good catcher...but not one who you can expect to hit consistently for the entire year when getting so many at-bats.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Solid player but the worst bat speed of any regular player I can remember. He makes the most out of basically zero physical tools.
This is the time. The real Reds organization is back.

So what happened to Volquez? Was his first year in Cincy just luck? Did he need to HGH? Never got back to from after his arm fell off? Baseball Gods don't like how he wears his hat?

I think Dusty is bored......he will probably tell the hitters to start doing something next inning.

I agree. If Dusty likes to keep each pitcher with their own personal catcher, all he needs to do is switch Mes in for Hanigan on one of Latos, Cueto, or Arroyo.

I always have felt he wiggled out of a lot of jams that first half.

I wish all sports were played on irregularly sized and shaped fields. "Cleveland will have a hard time adjusting to Boston's 11-foot rims ..."

    Latos looks GOOD.
    2014 Reds record: 1-2

.649 OPS against righties for Hanigan this year. .812 OPS against lefties, although small sample size against LHP.

I believe (without checking) that Ryan had his problems with RHP last year too.

Yonder Alonso coming up. Can he play LF do you think?
