    Lineup configuration

I am wondering how many times this season the Reds have had the same lineup. And if you compared that with league average how it compares? At this point given our inability to consistantly score runs, I would think we would have had a high number of different lineup orders to see what clicked, but I am willing to bet that overall it may be less then 10 total and that is more due to injury. I mean outside of Stubbs and Cozart and Valdez what other Reds have hit in the 1 or 2 slot and has Hanigan ever hit higher then 8th and how many times has Votto/Bruce batted back to back?

Off of the top of my head..

We've had at least 4 different leadoff hitters.
Around 5 different 2 hole hitters
    Two 3 hole hitters?
    3ish 4 hole hitters?
And then after that it would become a mess.

Except for the 8th spot in the order, obviously lol.

Even if the Reds put out a decent lineup they still wouldn't hit the ball well because this team just doesnt have much ability in the hitting area.

59 different lineups so far for the Reds. No lineup has been used more than 5 times.

Putting Jay Bruce 2nd in the batting order makes sense. Dusty's been putting mediocre hitters there all year so why stop?

Putting your top RBI producer in the 2-hole makes no sense.

Has he had the most opportunities so far (don't know answer but guessing he's smoking the others)

    93 on 1st
    69 on 2nd
    60 on 3rd

    Votto (190) 30 BB....so 160 chances

    100 on 1st
    64 on 2nd
    26 on 3rd

    Phillips (240) 15 BB....so 225 chances

    102 on 1st

If Votto wasn't the best hitter in baseball, he'd just be a mediocre 4 hitter. Instead, he's just average.
