Will your internet provider be spying on you?

This month, if everything goes according to schedule, your Internet service provider may begin monitoring your account, just to make sure you aren't doing anything wrong with it...

To me this is pretty scary stuff. We have zero reason to believe that we can trust a company with our privacy.

    What do you think?

This is terrible. Worse, I have no idea what to do about it.

I can't believe there isn't more outcry over this. The idea of Time Warner monitoring my communications is pretty disturbing.

My Internet provider is saintly and would never do me any harm. They are the most wonderful organization that ever existed. I would trust them with my life. I would never say a bad word about them, even if they weren't looking over my shoulder as I type this.

What's more disturbing is, when combined with CISPA, the federal government will be able to access those Time Warner records without warrant and without you having any civil recourse.
