    Ryan Hanigan's dog

    Come home, Quince.

    http://www.foxnews.com/sports/2012/0...-by-fireworks/

I know our dog had a very uneasy 4th of July night and laid on my feet all evening.

    It's about
    the ball,
    the bat,
    the mitt,
    the bases,
    and the fans

"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Having a dog run away is gut wrenching. I've had it happen once, and luckily we found him after about 3 days. I hope I never, ever have to go through that again. It just makes you sick.

My daughter just found a dog. Her kids found it sleeping under her porch. Now its been there four days and they are freaking out whether someone will come and claim "Michelob".
We placed an ad in the local paper. Aimee told the grandkids if no one calls after a week they could keep him.

I wonder if they have kids? ANyone know? Its tough for adults but the kids really get torn up.

You need to take the dog to a vet. He may be "chipped" and they can find the owner immediately. Better then saying he's yours, telling the kids and then finding out he's chipped.

We checked for one already and took him to the vet Friday AM for a checkup and to be sure there was no chip. None. No call so far either.

Thing is he was obviously fed and groomed but no collar or tags. My daughter lives a long country block from a vet clinic - we suspect someone may have dumped the poor dog in the neighborhood for that reason. And she's a sweetheart - vet thinks part Setter part Jack Russell. Kinda feisty and midsize.

People who do that really tee me off...

Yep. My dog went missing for a day. One of the most difficult day of my life. Luckily we found her. Totally feel for Ryan.

We just got a dog last week from a rescue place out in the country. They make a "rescue run" once a week to local kill shelters.

Our girl had been dropped off at the kill shelter but it was closed..... so they tossed her in the dumpster.

Here's our new family member. http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/23284243?rvp=1

They have video. She's the brown/white puppy.

Awesome. What a beautiful dog. Congrats.

I've adopted a few "dumped" dogs. They really are the best.

I found a half Weimeranner, half pit bull On the freeway berm with a broken leg. I don't know if he was a runaway, or was dumped. He doesn't seem like he was abused. Too fearless and friendly for that.

I really hope Ryan finds his pup. That's a real soft spot for me.

Man this is terrible. I've heard the 4th is the day the most dogs runaway due to being spooked by fireworks. I feel really bad for Hanny.

It's the day one of my childhood dogs died. Fireworks, sirens, any loud noise freaked him out. He tried to jump out of his kennel and strangled himself. He did that a lot, but as he got older, he couldn't free himself. Loved that rat terrier like a best friend, good old Dexter.

I really hope Ryan finds his buddy back. That has to be heart braking.
