Heisey is such an odd ball player. He got all those at bats when Stubbs was out, he did next to nothing.

Since Stubbs is back and Stubbs playing most of the time, Heisey hitting better.

Still almost never walks, but has power.

Hanigan is on pace for career high in AB's which isn't a good thing. He's never OPS'd higher than .714 in his previous two seasons with more than 250ABs. Devin and Hanigan are with 10 pts in OPS.

Devin absolutely should be getting 60-65% of the reps at this point, but with the way the staff is dealing I can understand why you may not want to change. A creative and less risk adverse staff would be ratcheting up Mes into the dog days.

Maybe after the break we will see more of Devon catching the likes of Latos or Cueto...at least one game. Hate to say it, but the only way that will happen is if Hannigan is unable to go or if Dusty is no longer the manager.

Hi-C is just one of those guys that needs to get 2-3 games a week and when he gets hot slip him an extra game or two. Much better with the tease of a 4th OF ala the Brady Clark days...

Completely agree. I've said it all along that Heisey is perfect as a 4th outfielder.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

I say hang on to everyone we have, sans Valdez, Cairo and Rolen. Heisey and Stubbs were just in a major funk. Hope to see more of this tomorrow and Juky 13th and beyond!

Cozart lines a single to left. Berry holds the runner at 3rd. 1st and 3rd.

Stubbs grounds into a 6-4 FC. 6-3 Reds.

Stubbs TRIED to be DatDudeDP, but beats it out.
