Well last nights hitting spree was nice....now back to barely taking any pitches and swinging at balls. I blame Charlie Sheen......him and his all star traveling band of women ...along with his tiger blood...have taken all the energy out of this team.

Reds OPS against lefties coming into tonight at .781.

It's very good, but it was .816.

Need to do some hitting against the lefties again, and tonight wouldn't be a bad time to start.

I think all offensive numbers for the Reds will decline after an 11 game west coast trip.

In fairness, the Padres are hacking away too. But yeah, the Reds approach here is frustrating.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

This game is going by in a hurry. 4 innings in 51 minutes.

The numbers only decline if you don't hit. There's no rule that you can't hit on the West Coast.

Actually the numbers against lefties started to decline before this trip.

In any event, if they have trouble with lefties, and they don't hit righties well, it doesn't leave many options.

Hopefully Reds can get something going here.
