While it is very true Marshall did not get his job done (again) - what I saw was a single to right off of a pretty good outside pitch -- a ground ball that would likely have been a double play if Votto was not guarding the line and a single to left that Frazier would normally get if he wasn't also guarding the line - the walk that followed is what is bothersome to me because it showed his lack of "toughness".
