I'd lay 4-1 odds that he doesnt come back after the break. Go enjoy a few days with the family Scott...

6 of the 8 position players have hits today, all but Rolen and Stubbs. Dustyball.

Bat Rolen in front of Votto; it'll get him going.

Dusty will try to talk him out of it...for that leadership trait. Hey, we have to pay him anyways. I think he sticks it out until the end of the year. Good guy who fell off the proverbial cliff pretty quickly.

I have no problem with Rolen playing out the rest of the season. He'll be a nice veteran with a great glove to have off a bench that sucks.

But he has to stop starting.

Stubbs also looks absolutely defeated. I thought he was going to cry after that last K. I have a funny feeling that this one will not end well.

I'm at 50/50 he retires before the end of the season. And there's no better time than the break.

Ludwick just showed his limitation as a hitter. He was swinging for the fences there, wild long swings. Didn't make contact, left the guys on.

He has good power and will get his share of long balls, but he didn't show any situational hitting ability in that first and third spot.

I don't expect anything from Rolen any more and Cueto is a pitcher. But I thought Ludwick had a bad at bat that time.

The Ludwick AB was bad but he also went yard today, so he gets a pass.
