Serrano gets the start in Pensacola, where it's scoreless after two.

Amaral reached on an error leading off for Billings, then stole second. Winker singled him home, then got picked off. With Joel Bender on the mound, the Mustangs lead 1-0 after three.

Futures game is on ESPN2 right now. Hamilton and Lotzkar are the Reds representatives.

Pensacola got whacked 20-3. Serrano with 4 innings 3 hits a walk and 5 Ks. After that, Pearl (5 ER), Manno (3 ER), Partch (5 ER) and De La Rosa (3 ER) all got hit hard. Wirfin Obispp with a perfect inning and utility guy Stephen Hunt finished Allowing 4 ER.

    David Vidal Homered.

Its time for Mark Fluery, Brodie Greene, and Curtis Patch to move on. All nice guys but they dont offer anything other taking up a roster spot.

I disagree about Partch. As a reliever he had been very good 1.27 ERA

    YRod in his last 10:

    .378/.410/.703/1.223

    14-37 (R) 8 (2B) 5 (3B) 1 (HR) 2 (RBI) 9 (BB/K) 2/5 (SB) 1 of 2

    Not shabby at all

Lotzkar comes in with a runner on 2nd and one out in the bottom of the seventh.

Fly out to RF by Jonathon Singleton, runner advances to third.
Groundball to 2B by Nolan Arenado, error on Chih Fang Pan, run scores.
Single to RF by Nick Castellanos.
Fly out to the gap in LF by Rob Brantly.

Did Hamilton do anything worth note? I can't find a live box score anywere.

1-for-3 with a triple and a run. (Either 1 or 2 RBIs, can't remember for sure ... but I think it was 2.)

I was hoping he'd steal home.

I second this. Today was his second dreadful outing as a reliever. Otherwise, he's been very, very good. Now, if he were still starting and getting the kind of results he did, I'd agree that his time was about up. But he has definitely shown an aptitude for relief.

I also think they like Brodie Greene. He's versatile, and while he's having a subpar year, they keep slipping him into the three hole. They must see something.

Ryan Wright homered for the third consecutive game and Dayton prevailed 6-3. Juan Perez, who is coming on very strong, stroked a couple doubles. Yorman was 1-3 with a 2B, BB and K. Buckley and Sierra had two hits.

James Allen started and won and Michael Dennhardt threw three shutout innings.
