    Wednesday 7/11/2012 Minor League Updates

Louisville (33-59) - Day off due to AAA ASG.

Pensacola - (12-7 SH) Trotting out Tim Crabbe against tonight. 7:15ET. Crabbe has been in a bit of a tailspin lately. His last eight outings have produced these numbers:35IP 38H 24ER 34BB 42K 6.17ERA.Crabbe is still striking out quite a few batters but walking, basically, one an inning will not cut it.

Bakersfield (7-12 SH) visits Stockton tonight. 10:05ET. Tanner Robles toes the rubber for the Blaze. Robles, recently promoted from Dayton, will be making just his second start this season for Bakersfield. His first start was quite good. 6IP 3H 0ER 2BB 6K. The "Post-Slidin' Billy" Era begins.

Dayton (7-11 SH) travels to Peoria. 8:00ET. Rhadames Quezada takes his turn on the mound. Quezada has been so-so this year. Hoping in the second half of the season he kicks it up a notch. Yorman Rodriguez was named Offensive Player of the Week in the Midwest League for July 2-8.

The Billings Mustangs (12-10) start an extended homestand against the Orem Owls. 9:05ET. Ismael Guillon is the starter tonight. Guillon has struck out 20 in just 15.2IP. His control has been good outside of one outing, as he continues to try to reestablish himself as a noteworthy prospect.

AZL Reds (3-12) host the AZL Giants. 10:00ET. TBD will throw for the Red Toddlers as they look for their first home win of the season.

Billy Hamilton struck out in his first at-bat as a 'Hoo. I knew they rushed him.

No score after two in Chattanooga. Josh Fellhauer has the lone Wahoo hit. Tim Crabbe has given up three singles in two innings of play.

Pensacola has three hitters batting .000 in the lineup. Hamilton, Rhinehart and Crabbe. Meaningless factoid thrown in there. Slidin' Billy Ks again. No score after two and a half.

SB (Slidin' Billy, Stolen Base--you decide) grounded into a force out, which left him at first base, which put him at second base with his first Southern League swipe. Hoos trail 4-0.

Pensacola trailing 4-0. Another sub-par outing by Tim Crabbe. 5IP 8H 4ER 3BB 5K. Pensacola has three singles - Fellhauer, Greene and Means. Wirfin Obispo just allowed a solo shot to make it 5-0.

Quezada went four innings: 2 H, 1 R. Wes Mugarian has followed with two scoreless. Dayton trails 1-0 after six. Dragons have two hits. And yes, one of those belongs to Yorman.

Billy did reach base on a FC and steal his 1st/105th bag in the sixth. Didn't score though. He will lead off the ninth. My bad, he triples with two out in the eighth and drives in David Vidal for his first EBH and RBI.

Pitching change after the triple. Wonder if Billy can frazzle the new guy into balking him in.

Nice little start by Hamilton after those first two Ks.

Yorman Rodriguez grounded to the pitcher to end the top of the 7th. He was replaced by Jefry Sierra in the bottom of the 7th.
