Does anyone think TLR can somehow win more games than Dusty with the players on the Reds? If so, how would he do this? By batting the pitcher 8th? Look up the teams that TLR took to the World Series and you will find studs like Pujols, Rolen, Edmonds, and Holliday. The Reds have Votto.
You also find teams that worked the pitcher's and had very good plate approaches.....didn't have Rolen and Edmonds last year.

I'd rather have Dusty over LaRussa. LaRussa would get a DUI in Kentucky before the All-Star break.

I've disliked Dusty since his days as a Dodger and have disliked LaRussa as far back as his managing of the A's. I just wish we'd get a manager who I really like. And who could, you know, manage the game.

He didn't have Holliday in 2004 either. My point was that he had two or more big bats each year. Look it up.

Interesting comment. Larussa sucked until he got to the Cardinals. He got the A's to 3 straight WS........he won one. Got his ass beat by two "lesser" teams in the other two.

Once again showing your age. I liked Dusty when he was a Brave........and still trying to figure out how Tony didnt win a WS with the White Sox.

I consider World Series appearances success, especially as a manager. The guys swinging the bats have some accountability for the outcome of the game.

What would the Reds get for Cueto and Phillips, as LaRussa obviously feels those guys hinder winning. NO CHANCE. do not even think (from people I know in St Louis) Walt and Tony are hardly friends.

Any chance we can hire Rolen to replace Dusty NOW? Would kill two birds with one stone.

I'd root against the REDS if Tony LaRussa became their Manager.
