Reds catchers getting the job done defensively

You can take this for what it is worth, but a study done by Matt Klaassen shows that both Hanigan and Mesoraco are doing very good jobs behind the dish this season.

You can see his entire article at this link: http://blogs.thescore.com/mlb/2012/0...-2012-edition/

Here is his Top 10 (88 guys are included in his chart at the link above):

Nice to see in print. But its pretty obvious our catching has been great defensively. Along with our entire team defense for that matter.
Attended 1976 World Series in my Mother's Womb. Attended 1990 World Series Game 2 as a 13 year old. Want to take my son to a a World Series Game in Cincinnati in my lifetime.

yeah, it's pretty obvious --i'd rather it not be verified in print.

    good stuff Dirt.

i do have one question and i hope this is the forumn: the reds pitchers defense is assessed at being the best by a couple different tools - is holding the runners or sb% factored in to DER/UZR or the BIS stuff? anybody know??
