He's 31 years old, I think you know what you're getting out of Simon but new scenery may have helped a tad.

Cozart and Stubbs are the Reds version of Dumb and Dumber.

Stubbs shouldn't be starting any more this season. The season is 5/9th's done, 4/9th's left. There isn't time to be "experimenting" with Stubbs anymore. Ludwick is on fire, Heisey is hitting great, and Bruce is Bruce. They should start every game.

Cozart should be batting 8th. Let him concentrate on his defense and stop worrying about trying to be a leadoff hitter. He simply can't get on base under the scenario Baker is placing him under.

0-fer-9 from your top-two in the lineup against the division rival is proof enough that they should not have been batting there. If it was abnormal you could make a case for small sample size, but it's the norm for both Cozart and Stubbs. Baker has proven in other seasons that he's willing to tank a season and go down in flames trying to prove certain players are worth his belief in them.

agree. but just saying 1 year does not determine a career.

Anytime Heisey has been given prolonged time as a starter he has not performed well. And for all the talk about 1-2 the fact remains that if you move Phillips there, for example, you have to put someone there that will not produce in the 4-hole the way he has. Double edged sword.
