What happened? I see the bases are loaded with 1 out and Hanny up.
So what happened?
In terms of this current vocab debate, where would the expression "that was filthy" come from if not from a positive connotation of the words "junk" and "garbage." OTOH, I think 44's side might point to the word "junkballer" as evidence for his case. Rarely if ever would I expect that word to be associated with a Halladay or a Kershaw, who use guile and moxie only to supplement their dominant repertoire.
Perhaps what we are dealing with here are two possible uses of "junk" (at least). If intended as the entirety of a pitcher's game ("junkballer") it is a negative, meaning that the pitcher got by with crafty stuff that was inferior. Conversely, if a pitcher like Latos throws "junk" to complement his other offerings, that can be a great thing.

Can you guys start another thread for this junk ball debate/fiasco?

Sometimes I forget Rolen is still on the team and not the DL, to be honest.
