Not knowing the outcome, you were cool with Bray pitching in that situation with the most dominate closer in baseball in the bullpen?
Not this year...maybe a Wild Card

I was, George Foster. I really, really, really like Bill Bray. He's struggled coming back from his injury, but he'll get it down.

    Concur.

Just say he's "reached the top of his game" and send him home to Joplin now.

ok then...i respect your confidence in Bray. I like playing the percentages. I felt Chapman had a higher percentage of getting the out....thats all.

Yea and if Dusty goes with the numbers and it blows up in his face he gets blamed. It's a double standard but whatever carry on.

There's no doubt Bray hasn't proved it, and in fact shown to be a scary input into a tight game. Baker has the guts and you have to give him credit for that. Don't know if I would have the guts in the same situation with Chapman there, but then I also don't like using Chapman as much as Baker does. I probably would have gone with Bray and leave Chapman for another inning in hopes we can get a lead in the bottom of the 8th.

But, since our bottom of the 8th lineup was none too good and the bottom of the ninth no better with Cozart and Stubbs, I'd probably try to save Chapman for pitching the top of the 10th.

In Texas holdum' I could go all in with a 2 and a 4. You have pocket aces. I get 2,2 and a 4 on the flop...you lose...however I did not play the right percentages...i got lucky.

Luck is only probability taken personally, this is coming from a poker player and it's Hold Em not to be a nit

I don't think Jay is happy about bunting against Chapman.

It'll be like we already have 2 outs when we come up in the bottom of 9th.
