Rolen's not helping this team much at all.

Anyone know if Baseball Reference (or any other site) has a way to track all-time opponent stats versus a team? Would be curious to see where some of these Reds killers rank all-time.

We have one of the best defenses in baseball.......I would sacrifice some defense for a more consistent offense.

Not really. If a quicker guy can get to a ball on his feet and make a play look routine, he's not a lesser defender than a guy who might have to dive to make the same play. It's kinda what defensive sabermetrics are based upon. Guys like Andy Van Slyke and Jim Edmonds made a lot of money making the mundane play look extreme.

    They do.

Bill Hall OPS'd .938 career with 18 homers against the Reds in 102 games. For his career, he is a .744 OPS with 125 homers in 1,053 games.

But do you have to just search by individual batters, or do they have anything to show, for example, the all-time BA vs. CIN leaders with X number of ABs or more?

Very concerned about Bailey pitching to Beltran, Berkman and Molina in the 8th.

My assumption (yes you may break the word down if it makes you feel good) was that:

1 - LaRue was most likely going to retire after the season. There was not a formal announcement but it was rumered if I recall correctly.

2 - As a catcher, that wasn't his 1st concussion, he had a few previously with most of those when he was the Reds starting catcher between 2001 and 2005.

3 - You don't have to be a to know that there are residual effects of concussions.

It obviously doesn't take a to read this and along with the earlier quote where LaRue went to Pittsburgh:

Hope this clears it up for you, good luck on that one.

As far as repeating BS stories long enough, on that one. PHILLIPS, PHILLIPS, PHILLIPS, PHILLIPS and that junk could go on for the next forever with both clubs 100+ year history.
No, please continue with your chosen version of the altercation... I'm sure LaRussa loves you for it.

LaRussa did for Steroids what Paterno did for child abuse. Just let it happen, head in the sand, and likely covered it up.
And now he works for Bud making 2.5 mil a year... just pure genius LaRussa...

Oh, I don't know about that. I just searched Bill Hall's career splits.

I don't think he'll get to Molina. If he doesn't get Holliday-Beltran-Berkman in order, he's done IMO.
