Chapman has pitched two days in a row. It will be interesting to see how he is used tonight. Normally, a closer could go three days in a row and then be off limits that fourth day, but they might not use Chapman like a typical closer.
Pirates lost today but wow Andrew McCutchen is straight killing the baseball right now. If Votto remains hurt and numbers continue to drop then McCutchen is gonna run away with the NL MVP.
I think Votto's average will settle in at about .325-.330
Why did Cueto have to get a "blister" and ruin my Sunday night experience. Grrrrr........
The bats really need to show up tonight. I don't see us holding St. Louis to 2 or 3 runs tonight. Also, here is St. Louis' lineup, FWIW:
Furcal 6
Jay 8
Holliday 7
Beltran 9
Berkman 3
Molina 2
Freese 5
Descalso 4
Westbrook 1
Bailey with nearly a 6 ERA at GABP....hope that doesn't continue.
bink
Slow in here tonight
another error for Bruce
another error on bruce in RF. When do we acknowledge he's an average fielder
Votto, solid defense even in a slump
.
Look what I found said Votto
A rocket from Beltran snagged by Votto
