Parra. Bounces to Phillips, web gem, arguing at first by Parra. Might have been a tie at first, which goes to the runner, but batter out.

High bounder there, Phillps went to his right and made a fine play.

I feel like Parra was overreacting a bit.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

With his beard and hair tips colored, Cueto is continuing his morph into George Clinton.

Cueto will lead off the bottom of the third. Reds have a run in this game without benefit of a base hit.

Bauer, who made the last out, rather slow in getting his warm ups in.

Anyway, Cueto the batter gets ahead 2-0 in the count. Takes a close pitch for a strike.
Takes one inside for strike two.

Foul. Slow roller to the pitcher for the first out. Well, Johnny made him work a little.

Stubbs, an on base machine in the last couple of games, now up against Bauer. Chris Welsh discussing pitchers sweating.

Grounder to third by Stubbs, hit hard, out.

First pitch to Cozart bounces half way to home plate. High strike. 1-1.

Cozart swings and misses. Cozart takes high.

Cozart takes another bouncing pitch. Full count.

46 pitches for Bauer. Ball four low.

Votto, I mean Phillips, now up. Reds have no hits yet, this would be a good time.

Phillips and Rolen are the veteran hitters who need to lead this offense with Votto out.

Phillips, as per usual, at 0-2 count. Runner started on the second one, a foul.

Wild throw to first. Cozart takes second.
