TLC orders Pete Rose reality series -- EXCLUSIVE

Major League Baseball’s all-time hit leader is hoping for one more — in the form of a TV show. EW has learned that TLC has begun production on a reality series starring Pete Rose, the polarizing 17-time All-Star who was banned from his beloved sport for gambling on games while he was a manager for the Cincinnati Reds.

No. Make it stop. Hopefully he can enunciate better than Ozzy. I know... I do not ask for much.

Just a hunch but Pete Rose will do more to embarass Cincinnati in this fiasco.

This is going to get America on his side! He is going to tell his story, how baseball wronged him and people will demand him to the hall of fame.

I recently watched the Pete Rose documentary, 4192, on Netflix. Excellent stuff and a must watch. I thought he came off as a pretty interesting and (brace for this) good guy. I would love to sit down with Pete and pick and his brain and listen to all the great stories. I know his scandal was an embarrassment, but the guy gave his all on the field and seems like an interesting "man's man". I know this won't be a popular view, but it's just my opinion from watching the documentary and other interviews over the years.

That was a really good documentary that was mainly about his playing career. I really liked it too. As a ballplayer Rose will always be my favorite. But as a human being he certainly isn't.

If Pete Rose were to just talk baseball anyone could listen to him for hours. But the problem is thats not what happens.

Pete has been a trainwreck for a number of years. The ban from baseball, the denial of betting, the hanging around horse tracks and Las Vegas, the signing his name on anything to make a buck, the admission that he bet on baseball to make a buck, the signing "Im sorry I bet on baseball, Pete Rose", etc. The problem I have is whenever he is spotted in Cincinnati fans go nuts, they clammor for Pete to be allowed back in baseball when in reality all Pete wants is the limelight.

IMO Pete never made the changes he needed to make in order to be allowed back in baseball. Whenever he needs an ego boost he heads back to Cincinnati where fans cheer him whenever spotted in a crowd. To me its a sad story.

    Two things:

-I'm gonna DVR this show and watch it religiously.
-I know that the "C" in "TLC" never stood for "Class", but really, announcing this series right before HOF inductions is a pretty vile attempt to generate buzz.

He can only embarrass you if you let him. In reality he's only embarrassing himself.

TMBS, I'm glad I don't have cable TV so I won;t be tempted to watch this.
School's out. What did you expect?
