Just glancing at Homer's overall 2012 line versus his 2011, he's either lucky this year or was unlucky last year to have an ERA a half-run lower. Slightly higher batting average against, slightly higher walk rate, slightly lower strikeout rate, higher homer rate. The real difference: nine unearned runs in 2012 versus three in 20 starts last year.

Cozart reaches as Ransom fields the ball and throws it away and it bounces into the stands. Cozart to 2nd.

The Brewers have gotten pretty fortunate with Estrada this season and last. They got him basically for free (waivers) from Washington a couple years ago and he's been pretty solid in pretty much any role they've put him in.

"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."
