Pretty funny that MLB's "scout" posted that Estradas effectiveness might start to drop, as hitters hit .291 off of him after his 45th pitch, and two pitches later, paydirt!

Nice catch on the long fly.

Now Phillips, he goes two strikes often, but he knows how to stay alive, fouls them off. And eventually got good wood on one.

"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Chris says the breaking ball effectively speeds up the hitter's bat.

I guess he means the pitch was slow.

    After 4 innings, Reds 1, Brewers 0.

Bailey at 54 pitches, 37 strikes.
Estrada at 61 pitches, 43 strikes.

Cracks are starting to show in Estrada's armour.

Pirates are down 2-1 in the fourth. They are playing against the Marlins in PNC Park.
