    Louise Nippert Passes at 100

    Part owner of the Reds.

She loved the Reds, gave of her garden

Nippert regularly invited opera singers, musicians and maestros to enjoy her box at Great American Ball Park. She attended every Reds Opening Day for four decades, starting when her husband became majority owner of the team.

Still a minority owner, as you noted.

The Nipperts were incredibly generous people, and this city and the many institutions she supported will miss her.

The Nipperts were philanthropists and incredibly good people. They also meant Cincinnati to me. Being an expat whenever I heard their name I thought immediately of home.

What incredible things they have done for our town. She will be missed, but I'm sure the family's trust and foundation will ensure many more years of support for good things in Cincinnati.
Next Reds manager, second shooter. --Confirmed on Redszone.
