    Ichiro to the Yankees

Just saw a tweet from one of the YES guys. Wow.

    https://twitter.com/JackCurryYES/sta...23684905136128

The Yankees have acquired Ichiro Suzuki for RHPs DJ Mitchell and Danny Fahrquar, a source said. Yanks also get undisclosed cash in deal.

Ichiro has been godawful this year. Kinda funny, I just jumped on Anibel Sanchez in my fantasy league and dropped Ichiro in the process, before I saw this.

A few years ago I would have been insanely jealous. Now... not so much. Could be revitalizing to bat in that lineup though... depending on the return, savvy move for the Yanks.

Wow. That trade came out of nowhere. I had not even heard rumors of him being traded.

Low risk move for the Yanks and Ichiro plays pretty well in the new ballpark. Should be a good move for them going forward towards another run.
If you have a losing record at Reds games, please stop going.

Ichiro can probably help the Yanks. He's been a league average bat away from Safeco this season and he's been exceptional defensively yet again. Gosh knows the bright lights won't distract the international man of mystery.

I have a feeling he will go nuts in that ballpark and with that lineup that is actually competent. Huge upgrade for the Yankees defensively as well. Being a minor Yankees fan, I love this move.

Bad enough you're a Cardinal fan....but even a minor Yankee fan? The Steelers or Cowboys the favorite NFL team as well?

Without looking at splits, I have to imagine they are weaker vs LHP, no?

Are any of you kind of glad to see Ichiro being able to get a chance to get a ring? I've always thought of him as a class individual and had a ton of respect for him. I'm glad he has the chance now to win it all.

Yes I am. Ichiro is one of my favorite players and I'd love to see him go out in style (but hopefully with a loss to the Reds in the series).
