Crazy Stat on Winning at Home

The Reds were 8-2 on the homestand, just the fifth time they have won as many as eight games on a homestand of 10 games or less. The last time it happened was 1975, when the Reds went on to win the World Series.
Somehow, this just seems unbelievable to me. Like, if people were paying attention to it throughout it would have just become a joke, an outlier, some kind of record. Maybe not. Yet, going 8-2 is fairly common, even for a bad team. Winning 8 at home on a 8, 9, or 10 game stand would seem to be very attainable, even by a bad team, and especially over the last 37 years!

Perhaps this stat dovetails nicely with the recent thread about pitching ERA and quality starting pitching, as you need good pitching to conduct a sweep.

When I looked today, I see the Reds are indeed winning at home quite well, a welcome reward for the fans, I know.

The qualifier is a home stand of 10 games or less.

There aren't that many homestands of 10 games I would guess. 9 would be a more common number, so that would mean winning 8 of 9.
