Normally double plays are the result of an excellent pitch by the pitcher... not luck.

Any time you can induce a ground ball as a pitcher, you have won that AB... even if it squirts through the infield. If its a hard line drive, the hitter won the AB, even if its caught.

Norris with a 5.20 ERA, and we only have 3 bloop hits and a seeing eye ground ball single through 4 innings

Homer consistently gets stronger as the game goes on. A very nice Glavinlike quality.

He's an mediocre to average right handed pitcher. We don't do that well against those types. It happens when you got 8 right handed batters in the lineup and refuse to do anything about it.

If you apply the ranking of "AA" to the astros lineup while playing at home, you are stating that over a third of the major league lineups are worse than "AA".

Except for the two walks, pitching a nice intelligent game. That little 2nd baseman hit two good pitches. What we've been seeing from Homer lately.

During the Lindner years we lost a lot of games to teams just as bad as this. Particularly on the road.
