The Houston Astros have scored more runs this year than: The San Diego Padres, the Oakland Athletics, the Chicago Cubs and the Miami Marlins. They have scored within 24 runs (or less than a .22 run per game difference/a difference so small to be of no statistical significance in any given matchup) of the Orioles, Rays, Royals, Pirates, Giants & Dodgers. That is ten of the 30 Major League teams that apparently stink... stink very bad... and are "AAA" lineups.
By the way, the Astros home OPS is almost 90 points higher than their away OPS. More importantly, their per game runs scored is 4.2 at home (and 3.5 on the road)... so according to the actual statistics this year, when playing at home the astros lineup is in the middle third of MLB.
I do not see how giving up three runs to this team should be considered "unacceptable".
Mes sure ripped that one...our 1st hit
Bailey actually looks like he knows how to bunt...unlike most of the rest of this team
Cozart looked real bad there
Bailey's successful sac bunt leads to a run.
Stubbs bloop for a run
Every once i awhile Stubbs shows what Baker sees in him.
stubbs starting to hit a little
Bruce....just bad with risp
Bailey not very sharp tonight....several 3 ball counts and runners in scoring position all 3 innings.
Bailey making the pitches when he needs to.
