With Cozart on base, Stubbs bunts at first pitch. Didn't come close to making contact. Just let him swing.

That was a gift out. No way. Gonzalez dropped the throw to 2nd and they are calling that a fielder's chioice.

Hopefully one of the umps will tell the second base ump he blew the call.

Then hopefully the Reds will get a makeup call somewhere in this game.

In a close game like this, that call really stings.

    Awful.

Awful, awful call. Reds should have runners on 1st and 2nd with no outs.

Bruce singles to left. Should have the bases loaded now.

Maybe they were making up for the no call Norris got on the should have been strike to Stubbs when the Reds scored that inning. He got a strike call then threw the exact same pitch and it was a ball. Next pitch after that and Stubbs doubles

Check gameday. They were NOT clear-cut strikes. They were closer to balls than anything. They "might" have caught the very edge of the black. Of course that's just gameday...so take it FWIW.

Don't know if Stros would have used the shift on Bruce with two men on.

So can't tell if Bruce would have loaded the bases, got an RBI, hit into a DP, or what if things had worked out differently.

But you hate to see the Reds potentially lose a key run because of an umpire's decision like that.
