The RZ is saying John Fay wrote an article on this today????
Anyone have a link?
I'm getting my lawyer ready lol
Bring this back....still in the same boat. Cueto is going to go way over.
I may be wrong, but didn't Cueto use to be in a league where they didn't have pitch counts? If so, then it's not like Cueto has never pitched this much. Again, I could be wrong, but that's what I remember.
185 is hig big league max.....maybe he threw 40 innings in the Dominican League a few years.
Personally, I hope he gets to 250 innings.
I'm definitely worried, it will catch up with them sooner or later. We are entering uncharted territory with Cueto. Hopefully we can clinch early and give a few of the guys some rest.
Just can't pitch Homer Bailey at home in the playoffs, what sucks is how they are formatted this year. It kinda kills us that is Away for games 1 and 2 and home fore the final 3.
If It was still 2-2-1 with two travel days still we could go with Cueto and Latos at home and then Homer on the road but now we are forced to use our two best on the road then uses or bad home pitchers at home.
If we lose one on the road with our Aces we will be forced to win one with our bad pitchers just to get to an elimination game. As of today it would be us and the Giants so we would be facing something like this.
Away G1 Matt Cain vs Johnny Cueto
Away G2 Tim Lincecum vs Mat Latos
HOME G3 Madison Bumgarner vs Bailey/Leake/Arroyo
HOME G4 Ryan Vogelsong vs Bailey/Leake/Arroyo
HOME G5 Matt Cain vs Johnny Cueto
wait what, the team homefield doesnt get games 1 and 2 at home anymore???
The 2-3 set up for just for this year is ridiculous, you could be the team with the better record and get just 1 home game if you slip up.
wow that is atrocious...
I really don't care who we play in what format as long as we win our division. It's still better than playing that wild card game. If the Reds are playing good ball at the begining of October they'll beat which ever team they're playing. If they're playing crappy it doesn't matter who or where they'll probably lose.
