With Arias struggling so badly, how long before Brean might get promoted?
What was Stephenson's final line? Anybody?
5 IP, 1 hit (single) allowed, 2 walks, 6 K's.
Billings still leads 6-0 after 7.5. Ishmail Guillon (6), Nolan Becker (1) and Jesus Adames (1) have pitched 8 shutout innings giving up 5 hits (all by Guillon) only one BB (Becker) while K'ing 9 (Guillon 5, Becker 2, Adames 2).
Robert Maddox leads off the bottom of the 8th with his 9th HR. 7-0 now with the Mustangs still batting..
SMB, Winker, Moscot, Maddox, and maybe even Guillon need to be in Dayton.

Stockton scores 2 in the top of the 2nd, but the Blaze gets one back in the bottom of the 4th obn Steve Selsky's 9th longball of the season. Bakersfield trails 2-1 going to the 5th.
The AZL Dodgers get single runs in the 3rd & 4th and have scored 3 more in the top of the sixth of Wandy Peralta. Dodgers still batting. Vaughn Covington coming on in relief. Runty Reds trail now 5-3.
Masset went 2.2 with no hits and 6 K's but allowed a run (might have been the five walks he surrendered) . Peralta went 2-2 with 3 hits and 4 runs. Wandy k'd 4, but also walked five. Only 2 of the runs he allowed were earned (five Reds errors so far). The Dodgers have scored five runs on two hits with no HR's.

Jordan Remer comes on to finish off the 7-0 win for Billings. He allowed a singled, but K'd two. The Mustangs pitchers allowed 6 hits and K'd 11.
Brandon Dailey, 1-4, R, 3B
Jesse Winker 2-3, 2 R, HR, 2 RBI, BB
Seth Mejias Brean 1-4, R, HR, 2 RBI
Robert Maddox 1-4, R, HR, RBI
Daniel Pigott 1-3, BB
Jon Mathews 1-4, R, 2B, RBI
Perfect night for the system so far with the Reds, Bats, Wahoos, Dragons and Mustangs winners so far, but the Blaze and the Runts are both trailing in the late games.
The AZL Dodgers go on to score a total of six runs in that botom of the sixth. The Cactus Canines do get a run back in the 7th on Argenis Aldazoro's 3rd HR of the year. Brayan Arias followed with a double, but was stranded. AZL Dodgers lead 8-4 going to the bottom of the 7th.
Robert Lewis Walker comes on to pitch the bottom of the 7th, but doesn't fare much better. He allows the Dodgers to score three more times and they now lead 11-4 going to the 8th.
Bakersfield comes on strong in the bottom of the 5th with three runs. Theo Nic Vasquez walks to lead off the inning, Theo Bowe reaches on an INF single him to 3rd then goes to 2nd on his 39th SB. Vas scores when Devin Lohman reaqches on an error. Stepehn Hunt Walks to load the bases. Bowe scored on a FC by Travis Mattair. Steve Selsky reached on an iBB and then Bowe came home on a Sac Fly by Dominic D'Anna.
That gave the Blaze a 4-2 lead at the time, but Dan Wolford came on in relief of Crabbe and surrerended a 2-out double followed by a HR. Now tied at 4 with the Blaze batting in the bottom of the 6th.
Why did Nick Masset go 2.2 innings? I know it is rehab and all, but that just seems strange.
