According to Ken Rosenthal, Francisco Liriano has been traded to the White Sox. Of course, Liriano hasn't been stellar this year. Nonetheless, might be a good trade for them.
"No matter how good you are, you're going to lose one-third of your games. No matter how bad you are you're going to win one-third of your games. It's the other third that makes the difference." ~Tommy Lasorda
Reds could really use one more good righty reliever. Haven't seen much of the game tonight, but other than Chapman and Marshall, I don't see a steady righty to pitch the late innings.
Maybe this is something Walt will address, one of the reports on the trade rumor thread said as much today.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."
If it's possible to look at a match up this way, I don't like how Chapman matches up with this home plate ump.

Is anyone else concerned over Chapman's recent use? I know the Reds have needed him, but why not have Marshall try to finish today?
The Sox traded Bullfrog the only player they've got for Shottenhoffen. Four-eyes Shottenhoffen a utility infielder. They've got a whole team of utility infielders.
