Damn, BP crushed that one over the wall...but foul.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

This is what drives a lot of people crazy about Dusty. I like Dusty overall, but my one gripe is lineup construction. If he wants to get Heisey a start, that's fine. Put him in CF and give Stubbs the day off. It's really not that complicated. Giving Ludwick a day off while he's this hot is doing a favor for the other team. Especially when Votto is already out of the lineup.

I know, I know, we've won nine in a row, our record is 60-40, how can there be anything to complain about? I get that. It's just that it seems foolish to give Lud a day off today. And, again, if Heisey needs to play (which I agree with) then put him in CF and put Stubbs on the pine.
Stubbs is hot too. I rather Ludwick sit than Stubbs.

Bruce walks. Wish they hadn't had BP running...

Astros go back up on Bucco's 3-2. Cards trail 2-0.

Frazier K's to end the frame.

Absolutely no reason to be running against Sanchez. He has a good move and no control.
"Man, the pitch looks fast, even in slow motion." Thom Brennaman on Chapman's fastball.

By "they" you mean Mr. Phillips, Brandon, DatDudeBP, and our second baseman? Them? :O)

Hopefully Latos does better against the Rox today then he did in GABP.
