    I was wrong about....

Saw this post in the ORG and thought it was a good one.

I was wrong when I got excited the reds acquired Eric Milton and/or Paul Wilson

I was wrong about Homer Bailey: I thought he would be a elite power pitcher
I was wrong about Ken Griffey Jr: Disaster trade set up the lost decade
I was wrong about Sean Casey: Never became the hitter I thought
I was wrong about Danny Graves: I thought he could become a starting pitcher

Eddie Milner being a Gold Glove CF with power and speed.
What if this is as good as it gets?

I thought Chris Heisey would hit 30 home runs this year if he was given enough playing time.

Wow, I thought I was only one who thought this back then.
From same time period, I also thought Brad "The Animal" Lesley would be a dominant closer for years to come.

-This year's team being a WC competitor and not division, really. I figured we would lose the division by 3-5 games and get one of the two WC slots

-Griffey acquisition being the start of a new "era" of Reds baseball in a good fashion

Alonzo. Thought he would hit .300 this year. Not a power hitter so Petco shouldn't hurt him, as Welsh pointed out the large field spreads out the defenders to make it easier for a line-drive hitter to find gaps.

Perhaps batting cleanup gave him BP-syndrome, and he will flourish further down in the order.

I was wrong about Paul Janish being the SS of the future

I was wrong about Rolen having season ending surgery by ASB

I was wrong about Eric Davis winning an MVP.

I think that in a year or two, one of these guys - Frazier, Dorn, Valaika, Cumberland, Stubbs - will be ready to replace Dunn. They won't hit as many home runs as Dunn, but they should have similar OPS. - 757690, July 22, 2008

Alonso will be playing 1B for the REDS and batting 4th one year from today. - Kingspoint, July 9, 2009
