    Online Radio Stations

Anyone else listen to a lot radio online? I work from home so most days I do.

Here's a list of the stations I listen to the most

    http://kexp.org (Seattle)

    http://xpn.org (Philly)

    http://minnesota.publicradio.org/rad.../streams.shtml

    http://tunein.com/radio/Album-88-885-s22318/ (WRAS 88.5 Atlanta)

I also listen to 10@10 on KFOG from SF (10 great songs from one great year) most morning but can't really recommend that station for general listening. It's pretty much an AA wasteland..

If anyone has any other good stations to share

my favorite NPR station is wabe.org in Atlanta.

Listen alot to a new station here in Charlotte, 1029thelake.com pretty poppy, but it's a pretty good mix from 70s-today.

    Re: Online Radio Stations

This is a website I use to find radio stations around the world.

    http://radio-locator.com/

I enjoy listening to Ireland radio stations on St. Pats day, New Orleans radio stations around Mardi Gra and Alaska radio stations when it is like 110 degrees here but its only like 50 degrees there. It makes me feel cooler

I also have a satellite receiver at home that I have plugged in to my home intercom system. It is cool to be able to pick up any one of a thousand radio stations and broadcast it throughout the house.

I do like to listen to KMOX St. Louis to keep up with what the evil Redbirds are doing but I also enjoy finding small town, noncorporate radio stations. Nothing like hearing about the ongoings of Dubuque,Iowa or Williamsport, PA. It is kinda a nostalgia thing with me.

    Re: Online Radio Stations

I listen to a lot of radio both terrestrial and online.

Some of my favorites online are local that are hard to receive or just low power. They are:
    http://www.wobofm.com/ (Batavia) (volunteer drive-variety)
    http://www.classxradio.com/ (Miamitown) (classic rock)
    http://www.wmkvfm.org/ (Reading) (nostalgia)
    http://www.oldies1480.net/ (Cincinnati) (oldies-50's/60's)

    Terrestrial radio:
Listen to this station in the morning mostly for traffic and weather:
    http://www.wgrr.com/ (Cincinnati) (oldies)
They also have Hal McCoy on Monday mornings.

In the car, I'm a notorious channel switcher, so anything goes...
WLW is now only for Reds games and Ken Broo on Sunday mornings.
WTUE in Dayton has "Breakfast with the Beatles" on Sunday mornings, but beware of the online stream, they'll throw in other kinds of music in place of the local ads.
Lots more that I listen too, but don't want to bore people!

At night before I go to bed it's:
    http://www.wguc.org/ (Cincinnati) (classical)
2023 Reds record attending: 13-18 FINAL
2023 Dragons record attending: 0-0 FINAL
    2023 Y'Alls record attending: 0-0 FINAL

    http://knbt.fm/ It's a roots/americana station in New Braunfrels, Texas.
I've been to dinner at Jimmy Buffet's house, and I've eaten it at a homeless shelter. And there's great joy and harrowing terror to be found in both places.

For those of you who have iPhone's.... musician M Ward has an app called "the Wasteland Companion" that helps you locate and stream local public radio stations across the country. I've only played around with it for a few minutes but it seems pretty cool.

Used to enjoy listening to WNCW out of Spindale, NC when I lived in Asheville. Largely Americana style offerings.

I listen to this one often. Classic Rock is only part of the equation for ClassXradio. It is actually a true AOR station--Deeper Album Cuts and New Rock by more than just Mainstream Artists--and there are not many left.

If Rock Music is your preferred genre, I'd give it a listen. IMHO, it puts the cookie-cutter Rock Stations to shame.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. As someone who doesn't live in Greater Cincinnati this is new to me...and awesome.

WYEP is hit or miss, but when it hits, it hits well.
