    But, and just to play devil's advocate, do you want to have a chance to get back in the game? Now, that probably isn't possible, but at 6-3 it was. I don't know the answer, but at some point you have to cut bait. The fans in the stands deserve that.

    Pretty much. Then Devin points at something, the ump walks into it and then acts like Devin punched him or something. That really got Devin hot.

    Manager has to decide whether to constantly warm guys up in a game like this. Dusty opted to give Simon that inning even though he was in trouble. I can respect that decision.

    He has four with the Pads followed by three with the Bucs, there's a real price to using up the pen this early.

    If Simon doesn't have it as we continue, I agree, you can't just leave him out there forever. But that inning, I would have done what Dusty did.
