Venable had his entire arm above the fence on that one. Impressive!

Just one example of a touching suspension. I can live with 3 games. Thats one start for Devin if timed right.

I was afraid for a second Mes was going to pummel the ump.
Nah, you 'appeal the suspension' until it is his turn to sit three in a row, then drop the appeal and he sits.

If the league is smart, they'll give Mes four games just to have an impact.

That was really quite a moment. We fans, we yell and scream at an ump with an obviously messed up strike zone.

It was good to see a player express our frustration.

I'd be interested in hearing from the pitch f/x guys on here regarding how many missed calls there have been.

Volquez has a great arm. Wow. Free and easy at 96. Glad he doesn't wear a Reds jersey though.

I seem to remember Votto but that may have been last year.

I'd be suprised if the league would try to get too cute with a suspension for a #2 catcher. 3 games or less I'd say.

Fay just tweeted that Molina got a 5 game suspension for bumping an ump last year but there is no way this seemed like something that would warrant 5 games.

    Yonder. Wow.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."
