Is a AAA assignment an option for Cairo, albeit for only a few weeks? Wouldn't mind having him around during the sept stretch run as a clubhouse presence.

If Bill Bray is injured again, I'd just cut this guy.

More likely would be a DL appearance. At his age, you start to get more aches and pains.

When Votto comes back, if there's no trade, Xavier Paul will likely go down. Not Cairo.

IMO, Cairo only leaves if the Reds add a player via trade.

Not endorsing this. But it's the way the Reds work. Paul replaced Votto essentially. Joey comes back, Paul goes down.

We may have to worry about who to send down when Votto comes back but we dont have to worry who to send down when Masset comes back. Bray for sure

Actually, if Mes goes out, Navarro will probably have to come up for somebody. Team will want a second catcher.

I disagree. I think they like Xavier's left-handed bat on the bench.

Bray has yet to crack 90 on the gun according to Gameday.

I think it will be Miller if it's only for three or four days. If they bring Navarro up, they may risk losing him when they try to send him back down after Mesoraco comes back. I doubt they would lose Corky.

Bray just can't find the strike zone this year.
