We're bad again. This "losing" thing is weird.

RAW sucked, Reds game sucked. Go get 'em tomorrow.

I didn't think they'd ever lose again to be honest

I was starting to think that a season ending record of 122-40 was likely to happen.

The Reds finally play a good team and lose.

Come on, now. This Padres team is not a good team (I know you're kidding). Just one of those nights. Out of five pitchers, only Bray and Ondrusek didn't allow runs, but Bray came close, walking Three in two innings, but getting by. Pitching was the strength in the streak, but not tonight. Get em tomorrow.

Agreed... Also, as far as starters as concerned, Leake has been on the verge of an implosion going back to that Diamondbacks series where the Reds came back from 6-0 to win it and started this winning streak.

True. Guys like Leake and Arroyo can be very good or batting practice, but I've never seen control problems like tonight from Leake. It was almost like the game plan was inside curves because Simon, heck, everyone had the same problem. Put this behind us and start a new streak tomorrow.

I wonder if he'll include in his report what he said to escalate the situation since Mes was under control even after the ejection then suddenly went beserk.

I'm afraid it will make no difference. Unfortunately or fortunately, depending on your view, touching an umpire is taboo, just like touching an official in any sport. Considering this particular umpire, he'll go for the suspension. He quickly threw Mes out and then bated him. I tried to read his lips, but couldn't, but agree. He seemed rational until the umpire opened his mouth. Kid has a temper.
