Anyone warming up? I think Arroyo is done.

Much as I'd love to rest the pen, there's no way I send Bronson back out there.

    Bread Boxberger in for SD.

LOL, Bronson seemed to be throwing harder that last inning.

    Boxberger in. Don't swing.

I'm wearing out my TIVO on these close calls tonight but I think his right foot is clearly in.

Ryan knows what he is doing.

Cairo, Redszone whipping boy, flies out to left.

His right foot WAS....but his left was WAAAAY outside. That's all it takes isn't it?

~edit~ Found it. Yeah, just one foot out prior to the ball leaving the pitcher's hand...it's a balk.

Rule 4.03(a) states "The catcher shall station himself directly back of the plate. He may leave his position at any time to catch a pitch or make a play except that when the batter is being given an intentional base on balls, the catcher must stand with both feet within the lines of the catcher's box until the ball leaves the pitcher's hand. PENALTY: Balk."

Man, Cairo's had a rough season. Sub .400 OPS at this point, I think.

What is Cairo doing? Ahead in the count, BB is a wild pitcher, swings away and pops up. Man, Cairo has had a real good career, but he has been pretty brutal at the plate this year.

    Frustrating. Now 2-0 on Hanigan.

That's correct Sir, I was thinking one foot in the box - that's for
    IBB. Good catch.

I think Cairo is done. But he's Dusty's toy so he plays even though there was little choice tonight.

    Marshall up

Marshall in the pen. He's the guy I said was probably unavailable because he pitched two yesterday. Two out.
