    Padres fear the X-Man.
    "Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

    Cairo is just unable to help this club in anyway shape or form but the loyalty they place on players while admirable is also overdone on a professional team - there is a time to recognize its over

    I'm resigned to his presence for the rest of the season. I'm just hoping it doesn't carryover into next year.
