Newsflash: Those teams were really, really good statistically. Whether people understood the stats behind it at the time is irrelevant. Those teams won because they were really well rounded in almost all facets of the game.

    Strikes, Jose. Strikes.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

You must really "love it" when Chris and Thom slam saber guys like they did last night. Did you catch that?

Nice win! The margaritas will taste even better at Buffett tonight at Riverbend. And I wouldn't be at all surprised to see a couple of Reds there.

I didn't, but I could really not care less what guys like that say. Statistical analysis has become more mainstream over the years, but its guys like that that hold up its development even more by not being informed and clouding their viewers minds with comments like the ones they probably made.

And this one belongs to the Reds!

If we win 10 in a row again does Marty have to shave his head again?

My Reds scoring prediction from pre game was 1 run and 2 hits shy. I'll take that!
Attended 1976 World Series in my Mother's Womb. Attended 1990 World Series Game 2 as a 13 year old. Want to take my son to a a World Series Game in Cincinnati in my lifetime.
