Sounds good. I'd hate for anything major to come from it. Hopefully whoever wears one will take it in stride and that will be that.
The guy throws 100. If he wants to buzz/brush/hit a guy, that's the speed it's going to be. He's not going to throw a slider. You can keep pretending that the game was in doubt if you want to, but it wasn't. That was as good a situation to throw that pitch as you could ask for if you're Chapman.
No Votto, no Phillips, no Bruce, no amount of Cincinnati chili large enough to feed Jonathon Broxton, no problem.
Nice avatar, BurgervilleBuck.
Rounding third and heading for home...
Oh well, whatever. Great win. Take one of the next two and this was a successful series.
Uh.....let's make a list of all the pitchers that have pinpoint control and throw 102 mph. I'll start
Ok, couldn't muster up any names. He was throwing it hard and in and it missed....but missed where it was supposed to, not over the plate.
Chapman had zero reason to hit him there.
I am excited about the future for Reds baseball! Win one out of two and set the tone!
