Harrison, just put your bat down and accept the OBP increase. That was not intentional, and you are not a premier player.

    McDonald K's

2-1 Reds to the bottom of 2

Why not, he probably cursed out the umpire.

Pirates are reacting too emotionally over every HBP.

It's part of the game, nobody is hurt, McCutchen is still playing, Harrison isn't hurt, Leake couldn't break a pane of glass.

If they want to avoid warnings and ejections they should just stop acting out every time somebody gets hit with a pitch.

I think to an extent Hurdle realized once he was warned that he was not long for the game (seeing as an inside pitch by his team would now result in his ejection). I think he just wanted to prove a point.

Exactly. The warning game down because Harrison flipped his bat and stared down Leake, and Leake essentially responded in kind. Walk to first as the tying run like an adult.

So if the Pirates hit a Reds batter intentionally, does the acting manager get tossed?

Well, they had enough inspiration before the Harrison HBP. Mike didn't want to hit him, for sure, but now it's on.

Unless it's obviously unintentional, yes the pitcher and acting manager goes.

So Hurdle's argument was basically, "You didn't give us a chance to throw at a guy!"

    Leake grounds out to short.

    2-1 Reds after 2.
