Stubbs has really improved his plate discipline lately.

LOL - yes you are right of course - I didn't catch the 8th inning part

    Stubbs grounds out to 3rd.

He had a bad streak coupled with bad luck.

He's is at minimum a serviceable CF.

They are out of their minds for walking Bruce to get to Ludwick.

IBB to Bruce. 1st and 2nd, 2 outs for Ludwick.

OK that makes sense. But that was the point I made from the beginning (hence it depends on whether the Reds score in the 7th lol)

Oh I agree. I was never as down on Stubbs as some others. I wasn't ready to cut bait.

I'm glad they walked Jay. I'd rather have Ludwick bat against a pitcher throwing fastballs.

Oh no problem I wasn't trying to argue with you. I'm just glad he is out of his funk.

Nope, Ludwick grounds out to third.

    4-4 after 7.

If Hughes weren't such a groundball pitcher, I'd also question that move. But it kind of made sense to me for that reason.

McCutchen hitting .447 against lefties. That double switch is very, very, odd.
This is the ol Left Hander rounding third and heading for home.
