I noticed it during the game. He doesn't throw that many strikes. He throws "near - strikes". It bothers me that my cousin, you and I, and other fans "know" this but Reds scouts and players don't know it.

His yearly walk rate has always been pretty bad until this season. More than likely hitters are being overly aggressive.
In fairness to our hitters, the ump had a pretty wide strike zone today. This was going to be a tough game to win. I think we all knew that coming in.
