    Agreed.

It might just be me, but Homer's looked pretty gassed his past 2 outings. I know he's past his career innings high, but it makes me wonder if he's not feeling well (as in ill...not hurt).

Starters carried this team in May and early part of July..... now it's the offense turn since the AS Break to carry the team...and they have.

However....this winning without Votto and Phillips is going to end soon and it might be hard to watch if the starters continue to be up and down like they have been.

Shouldn't Votto and Phillips be back soon?

Bailey has had twice as many bad games as Cueto, but yeah, Latos has been inconsistant too.

Bailey's improved, but he's still a back of the rotation guy overall.

Hanigan strikes out looking. Another pitch that was outside.

Could be the answer. He went from Throwing 37+ innings of 9-run ball (2.18 ERA) to this. Like I said, it makes no sense.

Kind of odd Dusty didn't let Jose hit for himself here and pitch another inning.

Only the fifth inning, nobody on, two out.

Seriously....Votto is still another week away probably. Who knows with Phillips. I do not trust them to again....be up front as to how bad things are until they find an actual break on someone. Sarcasm yes.....but not exactly completely off base...I am.

Heisey strikes out swinging. 4-2 Pirates after 5.

I'll take Bailey too, but he's a very average pitcher overall. League average ERA this season is 3.98.

I'm just not seeing how such criticism of Homer is warranted. I can understand disappointment in this game and the last one, but basically declaring him a afterthought or mediocre option after 2 bad starts in a row in a good year is pretty silly.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Reds have two front of the rotation guys, Cueto and Latos.

Two middle of the rotation guys, Arroyo and Bailey,

One back of the rotation guy, Leake.

That's better than I expected when the season started.
